Keywords & Market Trends.
I analyze the words used in project titles to identify current trends. Seeing terms like "AI," "Automation," or "Privacy" appear frequently can signal where the market is heading.
The most common words found today include:
- Code: This word appeared in 27 different project names today.
- Claude: This word appeared in 21 different project names today.
- Agents: This word appeared in 13 different project names today.
- Open: This word appeared in 12 different project names today.
- Source: This word appeared in 12 different project names today.
- Agent: This word appeared in 9 different project names today.
- App: This word appeared in 5 different project names today.
- Api: This word appeared in 5 different project names today.
Domain & Branding Analysis.
A product's name and domain choice are critical for branding. I analyzed the addresses used today to see how founders are positioning their new businesses.
Here is what I observed about today's branding choices:
- Name Length: On average, project names have 46.1 letters.
- House Parts (Subdomains): 9% of projects are built inside a "sub-room" of a larger site.
- Hyphen Names (-): 58% of people used a dash to separate their words.
- Name Structure: 0% used a single word, while 9% used two words combined into one.
Many modern startups are choosing unique, combined words to ensure their name is memorable and the domain is available.
Launch & Pricing Strategies.
Launching a product involves strategic choices like using waitlists or offering open-source code. I tracked these markers to see how today's founders are entering the market.
The analysis detected these common launch patterns:
- Helper Tools (Add-ons): 2% are little helpers that live inside other apps.
- Sharing the Recipe (OSS): 100% of creators shared their exact code on GitHub.
- New vs. Improved: 3% are improved versions of older ideas.
- Working Together (B2B): 1% are made for office teams.
- Free Projects: I found 4 projects that are totally free to use.
- Whose Idea Was It?: I saw 2 people working alone and 0 working in teams.
It seems that "Open Source" (sharing the recipe) is becoming a very popular way to build trust with new users right from day one.
Technology Stack Analysis.
The tools used to build a product—known as the "Tech Stack"—says a lot about its complexity and scalability. I scanned titles for mentions of popular technologies and frameworks.
Today's technical landscape looks like this:
- Branded Building Blocks: 16% of projects mentioned their tools in their main title.
- Phone vs. Computer: 8% were designed specifically for mobile or desktop apps.
- Tools for Builders: 9% are making new tools for other people who build things.
- Keeping Secrets (Privacy): 2% focused on keeping your information safe.
- Robots (Automation): 19% use robots to do boring work automatically.
- Multiplayer Games: 3% let teams use the same screen at the same time.
The biggest technical takeaway from today is that everyone wants their projects to be "Smart" and "Automatic," reducing the amount of manual work a human has to do.
Domain Extension Breakdown (TLDs).
The chosen domain extension (like .com or .ai) often reflects the project's target audience and branding strategy.
Here is the breakdown of extensions used today:
- The .md Neighborhood: 5.1% share (6 projects).
- The .ts Neighborhood: 1.7% share (2 projects).
- The .com/drl990114/markflowy Neighborhood: 0.9% share (1 projects).
- The .com/thevellichor/samsungopenring Neighborhood: 0.9% share (1 projects).
- The .com/tc39/proposal-pipeline-operator Neighborhood: 0.9% share (1 projects).
- The .com/ecliptik/geomys Neighborhood: 0.9% share (1 projects).
- The .com/dbuchacher/voe Neighborhood: 0.9% share (1 projects).
- The .com/upstash/botstreet Neighborhood: 0.9% share (1 projects).
- The .com/angadhn/botference Neighborhood: 0.9% share (1 projects).
- The .com/dvelton/hockey-shot-tracker Neighborhood: 0.9% share (1 projects).
Most people still try to live in the .md neighborhood because it's the easiest one for people to find!
The data shows that 23:00 UTC was the peak launch hour, with 12 projects appearing. This suggests that timing your launch can be a key part of your strategy.
